Mission Parivar Vikas – Central Family Planning Scheme in UP

The state government of Uttar Pradesh is planning to launch a new central family planning scheme named as “Mission Parivar Vikas”. The central government had written to seven states including UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Assam in November last year to implement the scheme.

The state government has not acted on the order issued by the central government and now taking the implementation of scheme in serious manner. The order has been sent to the DM’s and chief medical officers of 57 or 75 districts of UP for the implementation of the scheme. The TFR (Total Fertility Rate) in Uttar Pradesh is 3.3 which means a women on average bears 3 or more children here.

The main objective of the Mission Parivar Vikas family planning scheme is to bring down the Total Fertility Rate to 2.1 by the year 2025. 11 Districts in Uttar Pradesh have TFR of over 4 including Bahraich and Balrampur with TFR of 4.8 and Siddharthnagar with 4.9. The districts which are not included under the scheme have a TFR less than 3.

Mission Parivar Vikas

Under the mission parivar vikas scheme, the state government would provide family planning kit worth Rs. 220 to newly weds in rural areas. The family planning kit would include the following items.

– 3 Condoms
– Marriage registration form
– Five contraceptive pills
– Two pregnancy test kits

Under the scheme, free condom boxes would also be put up at strategic locations across the state which includes health facilities and gram panchayat bhawans.

The government is also introducing a new contraceptive injection upon opting for which the women would be paid Rs. 100 per shot. The government would also provide training to about 47000 nurses and Asha workers to give these injections to women.

Apart from all these, government has also planned to bring change in attitudes of mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law
by conducting saas-bahu sammelans and improve the communication between two parties through interactive games and exercises.

The dully filled application form can be submitted at district sub divisional or block development office. After receiving the application, the details would be verified by Tehsildar and sanction would be confirmed by district sub divisional or block development office and sanction order will go to the treasury or sub-treasury office for disbursement of pension to the beneficiary.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Haryana Demnad Survey Applications to Start Soon

State government of Haryana has decided to conduct demand survey for the central government’s flagship affordable housing scheme “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana”. The demand survey would be conducted in urban areas for identification of beneficiaries for providing affordable housing under PMAY.

Decision of conducting demand survey for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was taken during a recent meeting help between the officials from urban local bodies and the chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar. The eligibility of the applicants would be as per the guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana defined by the ministry of housing and urban poverty alleviation.

PM Awas Yojana Haryana – Eligibility Criteria

The following applicants would be eligible to participate for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana demand survey

  • People living in urban areas and were residents of the state as on 17 June 2015.
  • People belonging to EWS, LIG and MIG and living in urban areas would be eligible for Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme under PMAY.
  • The applicants should have Aadhar Card and a bank account.
  • The applicant or his/her family should not own a pucca house in any other locality.
  • The applicant should not have already benefited under any state or central housing scheme.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Haryana Application Forms

However, it is not confirmed but in the age of digitization, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana application forms for demand survey in Haryana might be invited through online mode. The online application forms would be available on official website of Haryana Government.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Free LPG Connection Scheme Launched in Assam

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, a flagship scheme of central government has been launched in the state of Assam. Under the scheme, the central government would provide free LPG connections for BPL families across the state. The free LPG connections would be provided to the women head of the BPL family.

The selection of beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is being done on the basis of Socio-Economic Census Data – 2011. The scheme would provide a financial assistance of Rs. 1600 per BPL household for providing LPG connection. The scheme also provides EMI facility to pay the cost of first refill and the purchase of gas stove.

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 1st May 2016, the scheme is aimed at providing clean fuel to the BPL households and improve the health of women. PM Ujjwala Yojana would cover about 30 Lakh BPL households in the state within next two years and procedure for selection for beneficiaries has been fast-tracked to ensure benefits to reach the poor at the earliest.

The launch of Ujjwala Yojana has been delayed in Assam owing to some technical problems. The absence of Aadhar Cards was one of the major problems for linking the beneficiaries with the scheme.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana the central government would provide 5 Crore LPG connections at a total budget of Rs. 8000 Crore in next 3 years. 2 Crore connections have already been distributed under the scheme across the country.

Kaushalya Karnataka is an ambitious skill development scheme of state government of Karnataka under which unemployed youth would be provided skill training. The main objective of the scheme is to enhance the employability of youth by enhancing the skill through industry ready skill development programs.

The government has launched a dedicated website www.kaushalkar.com where the detailed information can be found about the scheme. Through the Kaushalya Karnataka scheme, the interested youth can acquire necessary skills required for employment and earn their livelihood.

Kaushalya Karnataka Scheme – Who can Apply

The scheme is especially designed for unemployed youth between the age of 18 to 35 years. Unemployed youths, who have dropped out of their schools/colleges without completing their education can also enroll themselves for the skill training programs under the scheme.

There is 20% reservation for ST candidates, 7% for SCs and 15% for OBCs. All the applicants are required to have Aadhar Card and residence proof document such as ration card or voter ID card.

The government aims to provide employment to about 70% of the youth through this scheme.

Rs. 6000 Pregnancy Aid Scheme Gets Cabinet Approval

The central government has approved the Pan-India implementation of the Maternity Benefit Programme under which pregnant women and lactating mothers would be provided financial aid of Rs. 6000 for their first live child. The scheme would now be extended to all the districts in the country from 1 January 2017. Narendra Modi in his 31st December Speech announced Pan-India extension of the scheme.

The main objective of Rs. 6000 Pregnancy Aid Scheme is to provide compensation for wage loss in terms of cash incentives so that the pregnant lady can take adequate rest and nutrition before and after delivery. The central government would spend Rs. 7,932 crore out of total Rs. 12,661 crore for the implementation of the scheme between January 2017 and March 2020. Rest of the cost would be borne by the state governments.

The scheme would not be applicable for the Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers who are in regular employment with the Central Government or State Government or Public Sector Undertakings or those who are in receipt of similar benefits under any law for the time being.

Rs. 6000 Pregnancy Aid Scheme Objectives

The main objectives of the maternity benefit programme are

  1. To provide partial compensation for wage loss to Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers to ensure adequate rest and nutrition before and after delivery.
  2. Improving the health of pregnant women and lactating mothers and reducing the effects of under nutrition through cash incentives for nutrition.

Implementation of Maternity Benefit Programme

The scheme would be implemented by the Ministry of Women & Child Development. The ministry would provide Rs. 5000 in three installments to all eligible women for the birth of first live child. Rest of the cash incentive would be provided after the institutional delivery. The amount would be transferred directly to the saving bank account of the beneficiary women through Direct benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

Financial Benefits Under the Scheme
The installments of the cash incentive would be provided as per the following schedule
First Installment: Rs. 1000 would be provided to pregnant women and lactating mothers at the time of registration of pregnancy.
Second Installment: Rs 2,000 if they carry out at least one antenatal check-up after six months of pregnancy.
Third Installment: When the birth of child is registered and the child has its first cycle of vaccines, including BCG, OPV, DPT and hepatitis-B.

The central government through this maternity benefit programme aims to concentrate on good, quality care for every pregnant women who reaches a government health care center.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Jharkhand – 2.2 Lakh Houses to be Constructed

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban, a flagship housing scheme of central government is gaining momentum across the country. The state government of Jharkhand has set a a target of construction of 2.2 Lakh houses in the state within next 6 months. The announcement of construction of houses under PMAY was made by the chief Minister of the state Shri Raghubar Das.

The state government would hand over houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to 2.2 Lakh beneficiaries at the house warming ceremony to be held during the Jharkhand Foundation Week in November this year.

The Chief Minister also announced training programme for unemployed youth to get them a job during the construction of houses. Youth would be provided 15 day training course for mason, plumber and electrician.

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban, the central government is providing several benefits to eligible beneficiaries in urban areas in the country. The government recently announced CLSS for MIG under which households having income lass than Rs. 18 Lakh per annum would be provide interest subsidy on home loans taken in 2017 for a maximum tenure of 20 years.

Central government is inviting online assessment applications for selection of beneficiaries for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban through its official website pmaymis.gov.in. Several state government are also inviting demand survey applications through online and offline modes for selection of beneficiaries.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Uttar Pradesh – 11,286 Homes in First Phase

The state government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to build 11,286 homes under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in first phase of the scheme. UP Government would build 11,286 homes under PMAY in 32 cities across the state. Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath shared the decision on Twitter.

Under the first phase of PMAY, 11,286 homes would be provided to people whose annual household income is less than Rs. 3 Lakh. The government would spend Rs. 384.59 crore for the construction of these houses. The state government has already received about 20 Lakh applications under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana from people of Uttar Pradesh.

Highlights of PMAY in Uttar Pradesh

  • First DPR (Detailed Project Report) approved under Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana in Uttar Pradesh.
  • 11,286 homes would be constructed under first phase of PMAY in 32 cities and towns of UP.
  • The cost of construction of homes would be Rs. 384.59 Crore.
  • 20 Lakh people have already applied for PMAY in the state.
  • Central and state governments would bear 60% and 40% of the cost of construction of homes, respectively.

Central government has approved construction of more than 18.75 lakh houses for economically weaker section in 2151 cities & towns across the country under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The scheme was originally launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June 2015. The scheme is aimed at providing affordable housing to urban poor of the country.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana mainly covers Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG) of the society. However, the government has recently introduced Middle Income Group (MIG) under the Credit Linked Subsidy Component of the scheme. Under the CLSS for MIG, the government would provide interest subsidy of 3% and 4% to MIG category of applicants on housing loans taken in 2017 for a maximum tenure of 20 years.

Unemployment Allowance Scheme for Youth in Andhra Pradesh Soon

Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to launch an unemployment allowance scheme for the jobless youth in the state. Andhra Pradesh govt. would provide a monthly allowance of up to rs. 2000 per jobless youth until they gets a job. Andhra Pradesh state cabinet has decided to launch the unemployment allowance scheme with an initial budget of Rs. 500 Crore.

However, the exact date of launch has not been decided yet but the unemployment allowance scheme would begin by the end of July this year. The state government is working on collecting the data of unemployed youth in the state.

Unemployment Allowance Scheme Andhra Pradesh

There are about 12 Lakh unemployed youth in the state who might be benefited under the scheme. The government is preparing the age-wise breakup of the data of unemployed youth. Govt. would also see if they have skills or not and whether they are registered with employment exchange or not.

After collecting all the data, the state government would decide the exact amount of monthly stipend to be provided to unemployed/jobless youth. The government would also study such unemployment allowance scheme being run in West Bengal and Tamilnadu before launching its own scheme.

Highlights of Unemployment Allowance Scheme

  • Monthly allowance amount under the scheme may be fixed at Rs. 2000, more than what unemployed youth gets in West Bengal and Tamilnadu.
  • The assistance would be provided for 2-3 years or until the person gets a job, whichever is less.
  • Youth registered with employment exchange for last 5 years would be given preference under the scheme.
  • Only one unemployed person in the family would be eligible to receive the scheme benefits.
  • Beneficiaries would be given chances to volunteer to do any community work.
  • Beneficiaries might be requested to contribute in community development projects in villages.

Andhra Pradesh government has also allocated Rs 398 crore to provide skill and entrepreneur training to unemployed youth. There are several other steps being taken by the state govt. to ensure more job opportunities for youth.

The current government of TDP has promised the unemployment allowance scheme in its 2014 election manifesto.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) 2017-18 Target Set at 12 Lakh Houses

A target of constructing 12 Lakh houses in 2017-18 has been set under flagship housing scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) by the Narendra Modi government. The government build only 1.49 lakh under PMAY – Urban in last financial year 2016-17.

Launched in June 2015, central government aims to ensure housing for all by the year 2022 through Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The government has so far sanctioned construction of 18.76 lakhs houses across the country. Out of total, funding for construction of 13.06 Lakh homes have been issued.

The number of sanctioned and constructed homes is huge because of delay in land acquisition for construction of homes. The delay in land acquisition is one of the biggest reasons of delayed construction of PMAY homes.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Targets

As per the report in moneycontrol.com, following targets of construction of homes have been set by the central government.

Eligible Beneficiaries of PMAY are being provided benefits through several components. One of the largest benefit component of PMAY is Credit Linked Subsidy under which interest subsidy is being provided to EWS, LIG and MIG candidates on home loans availed in 2017 for a maximum tenure of 20 years. The government has announced CLSS for MIG and updated guidelines of CLSS for EWS/LIG recently.

Central government is inviting online applications for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for assessments of candidates through its official portal pmaymis.gov.in.

Mukhya Mantri Krishi Rinn Yojana – Zero Interest Crop Loan Scheme in Arunachal Pradesh

State government is planning to introduce a new scheme named as “Mukhya Mantri Krishi Rinn Yojana” or “Chief Minister Krishi Rinn Yojana” under which it will provide crop loans at zero interest rates to farmers in the state. The government has decided to launch the zero interest crop loan scheme in order to provide farmers easy access to formal credit through banking channels.

The state government, under the “Chief Minister Krishi Rinn Yojana” would provide interest subvention of 4 percent on crop loans and kisan credit cards with a limit of up to 3 Lakh. The interest subventions would be applicable loans sanctioned by all banks to all farmers of the state in the current financial year. This subvention given by state govt. would be over and above of the interest subvention given by the central govt. as per policy issued by RBI/NABARD.

Zero interest crop loan facility would be provided to the farmers who make the timely payment of loans taken up to Rs 3 lakhs. The farmers who repay their short term crop loan within one year of disbursement will get 3% interest subvention under the scheme.

The reimbursement of the subvention amount of crop loans to the banks would be done by NABARD which will act as channel partner under the scheme.

Chief Minister Krishi Rinn Yojana would benefit all the farmers availing Kisan Credit Card or crop production loan from Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank, all commercial banks, Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Apex bank (APSCAB).

The application forms for the Kisan Credit Cards and crop loans would be made available by the banks itself. The format would be the same as being already used to avail KCC and short term crop loans. Arunachal Pradesh state government has set a target to provide scheme benefits to at least 7500 farmers within the current financial year.

Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) – Rs. 6000 Pregnancy Aid Scheme

Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) is the renamed and revamped version of Matritva Sahyog Yojana under which government would provide Rs. 6000 aid to pregnant and lactating mothers for the first live birth. Similar to many other central govt’s welfare schemes, the government has added “Pradhan Mantri” in the name of this scheme too.

The central union cabinet has approved the new name Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) to make it more appealing. According to the women and child welfare department, the earlier pregnancy aid scheme was not so successful, even many people didn’t knew about it.

Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) – Objective

However, the pregnancy aid scheme would help pregnant women in many ways but the two main objectives of the scheme are

  1. Providing the partial compensation to working women against their wage loss and ensure their proper rest nutrition.
  2. Improving the health of pregnant women and lactating mothers and reducing the effects of under-nutrition through cash incentives.

Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) which was earlier named as Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana during the UPA rule has been renamed for the second time. The scheme would be implemented by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.

Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana – Benefits

The scheme would benefit pregnant women and lactating mothers for the birth of their first live child. The benefit amount would be send directly to the bank account of the beneficiary through DBT mode. As per the reports, government would pay the amount in installments as following.

1st Installment: Rs. 1000 at the time of registration of pregnancy.
2nd Installment: Rs 2,000 if they carry out at least one antenatal check-up after six months of pregnancy.

The total budget of the scheme would be Rs. 12,661 crore for its implementation between January 2017 and March 2020. Rs. 7,932 crore out of total Rs. 12,661 crore would be borne by the central government while rest of the funds would be provided by the respective state governments.

Jharkhand Free Smartphone Scheme for Panchayat Workers

Chief Minister of Jharkhand has announced a new free smartphones scheme for panchayat workers. The state government would provide free smartphones to panchayat swayam sevak under the scheme. The smartphones under the new scheme would be distributed on the lines of mobile phones distributed by the PM among members of Sakhi mandals in Sahibganj in April.

The announcement of the smartphones scheme for panchayat workers was made during a Panchayat Swayam Sevak’s meet “Sarkar Aapke Dwar” at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Dhurva. The state minister for rural development urged the CM to launch such a scheme for Panchayat workers.

The main objective of the smartphone scheme is to empower the Panchayat Swayam Sevak’s with the digital technology. The smartphones scheme would help Panchayat Workers seamlessly connect and communicate with the government departments.

The Panchayat Swayam Sevaks would also be paid for their contribution in the implementation of central government’s flagship housing scheme “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana” in the state. The state government would build 2.2 Lakh houses in the state under PMAY-Urban.

Delhi Government has extended its higher education loan scheme to students who wish to study outside the capital city. The Delhi government’s “Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme” provides education loan through banking system to students to pursue higher education. Till now the students who wanted to pursue higher education within Delhi were eligible for the scheme.

The announcement of the extension of the scheme came during an event at Talkatora Stadium where 372 students from Delhi Govt. schools who have cleared IIT-JEE (Mains) were present. The Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme is for those who have completed their 10th and 12th from Delhi and wish to pursue diploma or degree level courses or specified skill development courses.

The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial support to meritorious students who wish to pursue higher education. following are the courses covered under the education loan scheme of Delhi Government.

  1. Approved courses leading to graduate/ post graduate degree and PG diplomas conducted by recognized colleges/ universities recognized by UGC/Government/ AICTE/ AIBMS/ ICMR etc.
  2. Courses like ICWA, CA, CFA etc
  3. Courses conducted by IIT, NIFT, NLU, IIFT etc
  4. Regular Degree/Diploma courses like aeronautical, pilot training, shipping, including those run by Polytechnics etc., degree/diploma in nursing, physiotherapy or any other discipline approved by Director General of Civil Aviation/Shipping/Indian Nursing Council or any other regulatory body as the case may be.
  5. Skill Development Courses as may be specified by Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

The loan provided under the Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme would cover expenses like fee payable to college and hostel, examination fee, library & laboratory fee, caution or refundable deposit made to the institution, purchase of books, study equipment or computer at reasonable cost and any other expenses related to the study.

ITI Delhi admissions for 2017 session are starting from 29th May and the interested candidates can apply online for taking admissions using the official website at www.itidelhiadmissions.nic.in. Delhi Government has issued notice for admissions in Delhi Government’s Industrial Training Institutes (ITI).

Online registrations for ITI Delhi admissions 2017 would open on 29th May and the last date of registration would be 15th June 2017. The verification of applications and documents would start from 16th June.

Haryana Announces Pension Scheme for Journalists

A new pension scheme for journalists has been announced by the Chief Minister of Haryana Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar along with some other incentives. The new monthly pension scheme was announced by the CM while addressing “Swarna Jayanti Journalist’s Meet” in Panchkula.

Under the new pension scheme for journalists, the state government would provide a monthly pension of Rs. 10000 to those who are above 60 years of age and have completed at least 20 years in the journalism profession.

The government also announced a life insurance cover of Rs. 10 Lakh and a mediclaim policy of Rs. 5 Lakh.

The journalists who have completed at least 5 years in the profession would be given recognition by the government. The representatives of online news portals would also be given recognition through the new policy to be framed.

New monthly pension scheme would come into effect once it is officially launched by the Haryana state government. More details such as application procedure, eligibility criteria, scheme guidelines would be available as soon as the scheme is launched.

UP Free School Bag & Uniform Scheme to Benefit Only the Poor Students

UP Secondary Education Board to propose to the state government to provide free school bag and uniform scheme benefits only to poor students studying in Government run schools. According to the proposal, only a family whose income is less than or equal to Rs. 56,460 per annum should be entitled for the scheme benefits under which government provides free school bags, uniform, and textbooks.

According to the UP education board’s proposal, Rs. 56,460 slab is for the urban areas while families earning less than or equal to Rs 46,080 per annum would be entitled to scheme benefits. These family would come under Below Poverty Line category of the society. The children from these families who are studying in government run schools would qualify to get free school bags, uniform, textbooks and shoes under the scheme.

The state government would enlist the beneficiaries of the scheme once the definition of “Poor” is finalized. The total budget of the scheme would then decide whether to provide scheme benefits only to kids in government run schools or include kids studying in government aided schools.

The state government has for the first time has announced the scheme to distribute textbooks, bags, uniforms, and shoes free to students studying in government-run secondary schools. The earlier scheme was limited for the students from class 1st to 8th only. As per the estimates, there are about 4.48 lakh students in government schools across the state while 40.06 lakh students are studying in government aided schools.

In case the government provide scheme benefits only to government school students, the total cost would be Rs. 114.82 crore subject to expenditure of Rs. 2,558 per child to meet the expenses incurred for books, uniforms, shoes and books. If the government decides to extend the scheme to govt-aided schools, the cost would spike to Rs 1,024.75 crore.

Entire expense of the scheme would be borne by the state government since there is no such scheme being run by the central government. The UP government would start purchase process of school bags, uniform, shoes and books after working out the actual figures.

UPAVP Invites Applications Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana on First Come First Serve Basis

UPAVP (Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad) or UP Housing and Development Board is organizing property camps for allotment of flats under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in various projects. The projects are located at different locations and are being offered on first come first serve basis. For inviting applications under the scheme, the board is organizing property camps at different locations in 03, 04 and 10, 11 June.

UPAVP Flats Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

UPAVP is offering a total of about 12132 flats under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at several locations across the state. Highest number of flats (6863 flats) are being offered in Ghaziabad in two different schemes. Rest of the flats are located in Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra and Meerut. The credit linked subsidy component of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana offers subsidy on interest rate of home loans taken for the purchase of home. The subsidy percentage for EWS, LIG and MIG categories is as following.

– 6.5% on home loan up to 6 Lakh for EWS (income of up to Rs. 3 Lakh per annum) for house area of up to 30 Square meter
– 6.5% on home loan up to 6 Lakh for LIG for (income between Rs. 3 Lakh & 6 Lakh per annum) for house area of up to 60 Square meter
– 4% on home loan up to 9 Lakh for MIG-1 for (income between Rs. 6 Lakh & 12 Lakh per annum) for house area of up to 90 Square meter
– 3% on home loan up to 12 Lakh for MIG-2 for (income between Rs. 12 Lakh & 18 Lakh per annum) for house area of up to 110 Square meter

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Haryana Application Forms Invited for Demand Survey

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana demand survey application forms are now being invited in Haryana for selection of eligible beneficiaries. The state government is inviting application forms for PMAY demand survey through local bodies from June 1. The last date of the submission of application forms for PMAY demand survey is 15 July, 2017.

The selected beneficiaries would be entitled to get Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana benefits under the following four components:
1. Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme
2. Affordable Housing Scheme
3. Self construction or expansion of house
4. Slum re-development scheme

How to Apply for PMAY Demand Survey in Haryana

The interested candidates can visit the office of local town development department where all the details about the application forms and documents submission can be found. The department would conduct ward wise demand survey for PMAY beneficiary selection. If the applicant is unable to submit their documents/demand in the ward, he/she can visit the local town development department between 1 June and 15 July.

Online applicants would have to present all the required documents at the department office before the set date failing which the application will automatically be cancelled.

Application forms for PMAY demand survey would be provided to the applicants by the department officials in the ward itself or the department office.

There is no fee for submitting the demand survey application form.

Eligibility for PMAY Demand Survey in Haryana

Following candidates are eligible to submit their PMAY demand survey application:

  • The candidate should belong to any of the following income categories – EWS, LIG, MIG-1, MIG-2.
  • The applicant should have Aadhar Number and a bank account.
  • The applicant should not have any pucca house in any part of the country in his/her name or in the name of any family member.
  • He/She should not be a beneficiary of any government housing scheme in the past.
  • The applicant should be the resident or Haryana and respective town as on 17 June 2015 or an employee of government department, industrial unit or company registered with labor welfare board of Haryana.
  • Residents of unauthorized colonies who does not have pucca house are not eligible for the scheme.

Following documents are required for submission of PMAY demand survey application form in Haryana
– Aadhar card and saving bank account for identity verification
– Voter ID, Telephone Bill, Electricity Bill, Ration Card, Passport, Bank Passbook, Pension Book, Aadhar Card or any government certified document for residence verification.

– The layout of plot, home construction or expansion prepared and verified by draftsman/architect.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin 2017-18 – 51 Lakh Homes to be Constructed

Central government has decided to now bring some focus on rural housing as well hence set a target of construction of 51 Lakh homes within 2017-18 under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin. The target is half of 1 Crore houses to be constructed by 2019 under the scheme. The government now wish to decrease the time period of construction from earlier 18-36 months to 6-12 months.

As per the sources, about 32 lakh homes have been constructed in 2016-17 while the year ended in March 2016 witnessed construction of 18 Lakh homes. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin is the renamed version of earlier rural housing scheme Indira Awas Yojana and was launched in November 2016. The central government has doubled the financial assistance amount and increased the area of home under PMAY-G.

Under the revised scheme, about 10000 homes have been constructed in about 7 months. According to the officials, increasing the pace of construction while protecting the wrong use of funds is the main focus of the government. The photographs of homes being constructed under the scheme would be attached with time, date and location so that the verification process can become easy and fast.

As per the SECC-2011 data, the government has surveyed about 3.92 Crore homeless families out of which 2.26 Crore have been found eligible for the scheme. PMAY-G scheme is aimed at constructing 3 Crore homes in next 7 years.

Central government has earmarked Rs. 15000 Crore for the implementation of PMAY-G in 2017-18. The financial benefit under the scheme has also been increased from Rs. 75000 to 1.20 Lakh along with increase in overall area from 22 Square meter to 25 square meter. The scheme would be linked with Swachch Bharat Abhiyan under which an additional amount of Rs. 12000 would be provided to construct toilet would also be provided.

Apart from all this, a provision of 90/95 days of unskilled wage labour under MGNREGA over and above the unit cost is also there under the scheme which will provide benefits of about Rs. 18000 per family.
