The school education department of Rajasthan starts Gargi Award Scheme 2019-2020 to encourage girls education & to minimize discrimination against girls. This Gargi Puraskar Vitaran is done every year on the occasion of Vasant Panchami. All the girl students securing more than 75% marks in class 10th are given Rs. 5,000 amount as prize money in Gargi Puraskar Yojana.
The main objective of Rajasthan Gargi Puraskar Yojana 2019-20 is to raise the education standard of schoolgirls. It is important to note that the beneficiary girl must take admission in class 11 and 12th in any school. In FY 2019, the state govt. distributed Rs. 5,000 to each of the 4,679 beneficiary girls on 22 January.
The school education dept. prepares the Gargi Puraskar Yojana List of Beneficiaries every year. Rajasthan Balika Shiksha Foundation, Jaipur distributes award prize money cheques and certificates to those girls whose name appears in Gargi Puraskar List.

Rajasthan Govt Gargi Puraskar Yojana Eligibility Criteria
All the applicants must check the eligibility criteria before applying online for Rajasthan Gargi Puraskar Yojana 2020:-
1) Applicant must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
2) She must have secured at-least 75% marks in class 10th.
3) Only girls irrespective of their category are eligible.
