Bihar government has launched Mukhyamantri Ati Pichda Varg Udyami Yojana 2020 for extremely backward class (EBC) category people. Under this Chief Minister EBC Entrepreneurship Scheme, the state govt. will provide financial assistance to start new business. This scheme will enable all the eligible members of EBC communities in setting up new enterprises. CM Nitish Kumar has started Mukhya Mantri Ati Pichda Varg Udaymi Yojna (CM Extremely Backward Classes Entrepreneurship Scheme) on 24 January 2020.
One part of the total financial assistance for setup of an enterprise would be given as state govt. subsidy while the second part would be in the form of interest free loans. The new CM EBC Entrepreneurship Scheme will follow the lines of Bihar Mukhyamantri SC / ST Udyami Yojana which was implemented 2 years back.
This Mukhyamantri Ati Pichda Varg Udyami Yojana has been launched in lieu of the upcoming comprising of 30% extremely backward classes (EBC) votes.

Bihar Chief Minister’s Extremely Backward Classes Entrepreneurship Scheme Beneficiaries
The state govt. of Bihar will also make arrangement for proper training of selected applicants in their chosen field / project before giving financial assistance. Several castes of Muslim minority community also comes under EBC category. In Bihar state, around 130 castes are listed under the state govt’s EBC category. Out of these, around 36 castes including Ansari, Julaha, Momin, Dhunia, Churihaar, Bakkho, Rangrej, Madar etc comes from Muslim community.
Bihar CM EBC Entrepreneurship Scheme 2020 Benefits
CM EBC Entrepreneurship Scheme will come into force from the current financial year after getting approval from the Bihar state cabinet. The new scheme will bring unprecedented socio-economic change among the members of EBCs because majority of castes under this category are either artisans or having traditional entrepreneurship. The assistance of Rs 10 lakh will endure their economic upliftment.
Industries department has already prepared a proposal and it would be sent to cabinet secetariat department for putting up in the next cabinet meeting. Besides the state govt. of Bihar has also provided reservation to the members of EBCs in the three-tier Panchayati Raj Institutions to ensure socio-political upliftment of backward classes.
