Punjab government has launched Ayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana for farmers. In this scheme, each farmer is entitled to cashless health insurance cover of Rs. 5 lakh per family per year. People can avail cashless and paperless treatment at empanelled government and private hospitals. All the farmers who had sold their produce in FY 2018 & 2019 can avail benefits of free health treatment scheme.

Punjab Mandi Board has started Ayushman Bharat – Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana for all farmers of the state. This AB-SSBY is a state specific health insurance scheme in which farmers can avail cashless treatment of Rs. 5 lakh. Already registered farmers should contact the market committee offices for the following purposes:-
- Verification of names of farmers.
- To get e-cards.
- To get names of family members added.
- Information regarding government hospitals.
- Information regarding private hospitals.
All the farmers who want to avail Punjab Ayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana for Farmers should contact their respective market committee offices. Farmers needs to fill application form and carry supporting documents like J Form / Sugarcane Weight Slip.
