AP YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku Bhoomi Rakshana Pathakam Scheme 2020 for Survey of Lands

Andhra Pradesh government has launch AP YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku Bhoomi Rakshana Pathakam Scheme 2020. In this scheme, the state govt. will carry out comprehensive land survey from 1 January 2021. In order to provide permanent land ownership, every inch of land in the state would be resurveyed using latest technology such as drones. CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has started the scheme at Takkellapadu village near Jaggaiahpet, Krishna district on 21 December 2020.

Around 4500 survey teams and 15,000 surveyors would be involved in AP YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku Bhoomi Rakshana Pathakam Scheme. As per an estimate, the cost of survey of lands will be around Rs. 987.46 crore. AP govt. will do the following things – marking of boundaries, issuing passbooks to landowners, setting up of mobile court to resolve land disputes on the spot.

Such land survey is overdue and is being taken up in Andhra Pradesh after a gap of over 100 years. After the survey, every piece of land will be allotted a unique number, which enables the beneficiary to know complete details of his land, besides providing legal rights to avoid disputes

Land Survey Phases in Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku Bhoomi Rakshana Scheme

The land survey will be conducted in 1.26 lakh sq km across the state in villages, towns and cities, except forest lands. The survey will be held in 3 phases in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh, the number of villages covered in each phase of the land survey are as follows:-

1st Phase – About 5,000 villages will be covered in the first phase

2nd Phase – 6,500 villages in the second phase

3rd Phase – Around 5,500 villages in the third phase.

All the district officials have made arrangements for the inauguration of the AP YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku Bhoomi Rakshana Pathakam Scheme.

A land survey was conducted 100 years ago in the AP state and now the programme for survey of lands will be taken up again. CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has flagged off the survey teams from Takkellapadu village for the survey work launched simultaneously in all districts. AP YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku Bhoomi Rakshana Pathakam Scheme would resolve long-pending land disputes.

A team comprising two surveyors, a VRO and a VRA will conduct land resurvey in a village and every survey number will be filmed using drone cameras and stored in digital format. On the directions of the Chief Minister, steps have been taken for setting up mobile tribunals to resolve land disputes.

Over 10,000 people has attend the public meeting addressed by the Chief Minister at Gantela Sakuntalamma degree college in Jaggaiahpet. The land records will be updated with the latest technology by the Government in association with the Survey of India. The Andhra Pradesh state government and the Survey of India will form 70 base stations for the mega land survey.

The state-of-art technology will be used with the latest drones and rovers under YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku Bhoomi Rakshana Pathakam Scheme. Nearly 15,000 surveyors were appointed for the state-wide survey. The land owners will get a title card with unique identification number, measurements of the property and other details. All details of the lands in the village would be on the maps. Survey stones would be installed once the marking of land was completed.

Security of Data after Survey of Land in Andhra Pradesh

AP govt. will secure the records after the survey in such a way that no one can tamper with them. The security features should be fool-proof and the hard copy should be with the landowners.

A land titling card, which consists of a unique identification number, measurements of the property, name of the owner along with the photo and total area will be given to the owner after the survey. Digitised cadastral maps will be prepared after the completion of the survey. All details of the lands in the village will be in the maps. 

Survey stones will be installed once the marking of land is completed. Digitised property register and title register and a register for complaints will be made available at the Village Secretariats.
