Uttar Pradesh government is inviting online applications for UP Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana [कन्या सुमंगला योजना] 2020-21 at official website mksy.up.gov.in. Kanya Sumangala Yojana is a conditional cash transfer scheme to ensure social security to girl child & her development. Interested ones can apply online by filling UP CM Kanya Sumangala Yojana 2020 online registration form, read scheme guidelines and check application process at Citizen Services Portal.

UP CM Kanya Sumangala Yojna will prevent social evils like female foeticide and child marriage. Moreover, girls will get an opportunity to advance towards higher education and employment. This scheme will assist girls of UP state from their birth till their graduation studies. UP state government has allocated Rs. 1200 crore for UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana in UP Budget 2020-21 presented on 18 February.

Along with improvement in health and education of girls, their dropout rates would get reduced. For this purpose, govt. will deposit pre-determined amount at the regular intervals in the name of girl child through DBT mode.

UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana Online Registration / Application Types

Here are the 6 types or stages for which the online application for UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana can be made:-

  1. Stage 1 – Rs. 2,000 as one time (lump sum) on birth of girl child. The girl must be born on or after 1 April 2019.
  2. Stage 2 – The girl who is not born before 1 April 2019 and has received full immunization will get Rs. 1,000 one time amount.
  3. Stage 3 – The girl child who has enrolled in standard 1 during the current academic year will be benefited with Rs. 2,000 one time amount.
  4. Stage 4 – The girl child who has enrolled in standard 6 during the current academic year will be benefited with Rs. 2,000 one time amount.
  5. Stage 5 – The girl child who has enrolled in standard 9 during the current academic year will be benefited with Rs. 3,000 one time amount.
  6. Stage 6 – The girl who has passed standard 10th or 12th and enrolled in at-least 2 year diploma course or graduate degree will get Rs. 5,000 as lump sum amount.

UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana Eligibility for Registration

Here is the eligibility criteria for UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana registration:-

  • The candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. For this residence proof needs to be produced which includes Ration Card / Aadhar Card / Voter Card / Electricity Bill / Telephone Bill.
  • The income of beneficiary family from all sources must not exceed Rs. 3 lakh per annum.
  • Maximum of 2 girls of a single family would be benefited under Kanya Sumangala Yojana.
  • Family size of the beneficiaries must not exceed 2.
  • In case the women delivers twin babies in her second delivery then 3rd girl child would also be eligible. If 1st child is girl and 2 twin girls are born from second delivery, then all 3 girls would be eligible.
  • If family has adopted an orphan girl then max of 2 girls would be benefited including biological children and adopted girl child.

Rajasthan Jan Soochna Portal 2020 has been developed by Information & Technology department. This Rajasthan government Jan Suchna Portal (जन सूचना पोर्टल राजस्थान) contains list of 81 schemes and services of 44 departments on a single platform. Now people can get information about 81 schemes and services online at jansoochna.rajasthan.gov.in. The next chapter of Rajasthan Innovation Mission (RAJIV) has begun in form of Jan Suchana Portal.

Rajasthan Jan Soochana Portal is inspired from the Section 4 (2) of Right to Information Act 2005 i.e Proactive Disclosure of Information. In this section, provisions were made that different authorities & govt. departments would voluntarily disclose info. through various means like internet. So to seek info., people shall file number of applications.

However in past 14 years, central and state governments have not implemented this provision of section. Accordingly, Rajasthan govt. is now launching Jan Soochna Portal. All the information will also remain available on self service “E-Mitra Plus” kiosk.

PM Suraksha Bima Scheme is a flagship accident insurance scheme of the Modi govt. launched in FY 2015. Now, PMSBY application & claim forms are available at the jansuraksha.gov.in.

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) is a social security scheme offering one year accidental death and disability cover. The other 2 schemes launched along with PMSBY scheme are PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY).

PMSBY Scheme Eligibility Criteria

All the candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria to avail the PMSBY Scheme benefits:-

  • PMSBY is available to people whose age belongs to the age group of 18 to 70 years.
  • The aspirant should have an active saving bank account.
  • The aspirant will have to sign a consent letter for the auto debit of policy premium.
  • Any individual can join PMSBY Scheme through one bank account only.

PM Suraksha Bima Yojana accident insurance also covers permanent disablement due to accident.

PM Suraksha Bima Yojana Premium

That is the biggest advantage of Suraksha Bima Yojana, even the poorest of the poor can also afford the premium of PM Suraksha Bima Yojana.

Total Premium: Rs. 12/- per annum per member
Appropriation of Premium:

  1. Insurance Premium to LIC / insurance company : Rs. 10/- per annum per member
  2. Reimbursement of Expenses to BC/Micro/Corporate/Agent : Rs. 1/- per annum per member
  3. Reimbursement of Administrative expenses to participating Bank: Rs. 1/- per annum per member

Auto Debit Facility in PM Suraksha Bima Yojana

It is important to note that the period of PMSBY Insurance is from 1st June to 31st May of any financial year. Once the insurance is availed, a sum of Rs. 12 will be auto debited from the saving bank account (with an auto-debit facility) of the policy holder. The auto-debit transaction will take place on or before 1 June for the coverage period 1st June to 31st May on an annual renewal basis.

If the auto-debit of premium amount does not happen for some reasons on 1st of June, the insurance plan will be discontinued. The policy will automatically be renewed/re-initiated after the auto debit of the premium amount from the bank account. Under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, risk coverage available is Rs. 2 lakh for accidental death and permanent disability. Moreover for permanent partial disability, the risk coverage available is Rs. 1 lakh.

Where to Buy Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana

PM Suraksha Bima Yojana is administered through Public Sector General Insurance Companies or any other General Insurance Companies which are in tie up with participating banks.

You can submit your PMSBY application form to the banker in which you have a savings bank account. The PMSBY form can easily be downloaded from the official Jansuraksha website at jansuraksha.gov.in

Scope of coverage of Suraksha Bima Yojana

  • Only one policy will be allowed per person in case the person has more than one saving bank account.
  • Aadhar card would be the mandatory and primary document required for getting registered under the scheme.
  • The premium of the policy would be auto-debited every year from the saving bank account of the policy holder.
  • If a policy holder exit the scheme for any reasons, he/she may get enrolled again from the succeeding year with same T&C’s

Termination of Suraksha Bima Yojana

There are certain situations when the policy account of the holder will be discontinued/terminated and no benefits would be paid thereafter. Following are those conditions:

  1. On attaining the age of 70 years.
  2. Due to insufficiency of balance in the saving account at the time of policy renewal in subsequent years.
  3. In case the subscriber is found to be covered by more than one saving bank account and the premium is being paid intentionally. Only one policy cover will remain active and other will be terminated and premium paid will be forfeited.
  4. If the cover is terminated in cases such as technical or administrative reasons, or due date, the cover can be reinstated on receipt of full annual premium.

How to Claim PMSBY Accident Insurance Scheme Benefits

PMSBY Scheme aims to cover death caused by accident and disability as confirmed by documentary evidence. This includes road, rail and vehicular accidents, drowning, death involving any crime (accident reported to police), snakebite, fall from a tree and other causes supported by immediate hospital record. Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana Features

Here are the important features and highlights of the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY):-

  • The scheme provides a accidental death benefit of up to Rs. 2 Lakh
  • In case accidental death or permanent disability or irrecoverable and total loss of both hands, both eyes or sight or one leg or foot, the insurance cover would be up to 2 Lakh.
  • The sum assured would be Rs. 1 Lakh in case of partial disability or lost of one leg, hand, foot, eye or sight.
  • The assured amount will be paid to the nominee.
  • The scheme will be renewed every year with a single year cover at a time.

It is offered by Public Sector General Insurance Companies or any other General Insurance Company who are willing to offer the product on similar terms with necessary approvals and tie up with banks for this purpose. The banks can engage any insurance company of their choice to offer the scheme.

Background of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana Policy

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), launched in May 2015, is a government backed accidental-death insurance scheme. As of May 2015, only 20% of India’s population has any kind of insurance and this scheme aims to increase this number. Suraksha Bima Yojana is mainly for those people who are not covered under any kind of insurance scheme, especially in the rural areas of the country.

PM Suraksha Bima Yojana is available for all but was launched keeping in mind the people belong to the below poverty line category or under-privileged and those who are not able to afford any kind of insurance plans available with private or even public sector insurance companies.

STARS Scheme under NEP 2020 Approved by Central Govt. to Strengthen School Education System

Central government has approved the implementation of a new STARS Scheme under National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. STARS stands for Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States project. The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to launch STARS Project with a total project cost of Rs 5718 crore. Out of this total amount, World Bank will also provide support amounting to approx. Rs. 3700 crore.

STARS Scheme under NEP 2020

The new concept of STARS Scheme under NEP 2020 would be implemented as a centrally sponsored scheme. The implementation would be under the education ministry’s department of school education and literacy. It would involve setting up of a National Assessment Centre, PARAKH as an independent and autonomous institution.

Contingency Emergency Response Component (CERC) in STARS Project

The STARS Scheme includes a Contingency Emergency Response Component (CERC). This component of STARS Project will help the government in responding to situations which leads to the following:-

  • Loss of learning such as school closures
  • Damage to infrastructure
  • Inadequate facilities at School
  • Use of technology to facilitate remote learning

The CERC component of STARS Project would facilitate the rapid re-categorization of financing and the utilization of streamlined financing request procedures.

States to be Covered in STARS Scheme under NEP 2020

The identified states under STARS Scheme will be supported for various interventions for improving the quality of education. The STARS Scheme will covers 6 Indian States whose name are as follows:-

  1. Himachal Pradesh
  2. Rajasthan
  3. Maharashtra
  4. Madhya Pradesh
  5. Kerala
  6. Odisha

Along with STARS Project, the central govt. is envisaged to implement a similar ADB funded project in 5 states namely Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Assam. All the states will partner with one other state for sharing their experiences and best practice.

Objectives of STARS Scheme

The STARS Scheme aims to support the states in developing, implementing, evaluating and improving interventions with direct linkages. This will help in improving education outcomes and school to work transition strategies for improved labour market outcomes. At the state level, STARS Scheme will focus on the following things:-

  • Strengthening early childhood education and foundational learning
  • Improving learning assessment systems
  • Strengthening classroom instruction and remediation through teacher development and school leadership.
  • Strengthening vocational education.

The overall focus and components of the STARS project are aligned with the objectives of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 of Quality Based Learning Outcomes. The STARS project will help in strengthening the Education Ministry’s national data systems and strengthening of learning assessment systems.

STARS Scheme as Part of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan

The STARS Scheme aims to focus on various initiatives as a part of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan which are as follows:-

  1. PM e-Vidya
  2. Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Mission
  3. National Curricular and Pedagogical Framework for Early Childhood Care and Education

Some of the measurable outcomes of the project are increase in students achieving minimum proficiency in grade 3 language, improvement in secondary school completion rate, improvement in governance index scores etc.

How to Get Loan under PKCC Scheme

In this scheme, farmers will have to give an affidavit to the Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry and Dairy department. Before this, farmer will also have to get his animal insured. For this, only Rs. 100 have to be paid.

Loan Details

Under this scheme, Haryana govt. gives loans of Rs. 40,783 to farmer who owns a cow. The loans will be given to farmers through credit card in 6 equal installments (Rs. 6,797 per installment) every month. Similar to this, loan of upto Rs. 60,249 will be given to the farmers having a buffalo. The money will have to be returned within 1 year with an interest of 4% per annum. The farmers who repay their loan on time will get extra benefit.

In case farmer takes loan above Rs. 1.6 lakh through Pashu Credit Card, then he will get loan at the normal interest rate. For this loan, farmer will have to something on mortgage. Here too, if farmer pays loan amount within one year, he will get rebate on interest.

Haryana Pashu Kisan Credit Card Repayment Schedule

One can easily understand the repayment schedule of Haryana Pashu Kisan Credit Card. For eg, if anyone buys diesel worth Rs. 4000 on 4 July 2019, then he must repay money by 3 July 2020. Similar to this, if anyone buys a fridge or pays tuition fees worth Rs. 9000 on 9 August 2019, then he must return that amount before 8 August 2020 to avail concessional 4% interest rate.

The main aim of these Pashu Kisan Credit Cards is to free farmers from the debt trap of money lenders and to boost their consumption expenditure. The state govt. of Haryana aims to issue 10 lakh Pashu Kisan Credit Cards in FY 2019-20. The new facility of Pashu Kisan Credit Cards would meet the short term credit requirements for rearing livestock as well as fish, shrimp and other aquatic organisms.

Similar to this, for brackish water shrimp, the rate is fixed at Rs. 92,800 while for freshwater shrimp, rate is fixed at Rs. 1.12 lakh. The state govt. has fixed this rate after including the feeding, labour, veterinary and electricity supply costs. Haryana govt. has approx. 89 lakh livestock and produces 44 lakh litres of milk per day. There are around 29 lakh farming households which depends on livestock for their daily income.

Gujarat Ganga Swarupa Yojana 2020 (Vidhva Sahay Yojna) Pension Amount / Income Eligibility

Gujarat govt. has launched Ganga Swarupa Yojana 2020 to provide pension to widows. The state govt. has changed the name of previously running Vidhva Sahay Yojna to Ganga Swaroop Beheno Ne Sahayata Yojana. This widow pension scheme initiative is an effort to show sensitivity and transparency of the Gujarat government. In the Gujarat Ganga Swarupa Yojana 2020, each vidhwa beneficiary will get Rs. 1250 per month as pension. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has launched the Central Government’s National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) Portal. This new portal will facilitate Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of monthly pension directly to 3.70-lakh widows, elderly and disabled women in 33 districts in the state.

The pension amount of Rs. 1250 p.m will be deposited in the bank accounts of widow beneficiaries in first week of every month.

Gujarat Ganga Swarupa Yojana 2020-21

The state govt. has started providing pension amount of Rs. 1250 per month under Gujarat Ganga Swarupa Yojana 2020-21. Gujarat CM has also started NSAP portal to facilitate DBT transfer of pension into widow women account. The amount would be simultaneously transferred directly to post office accounts of target women group with a click. The programme has been implemented in the state by Gujarat government’s Women and Child Development department.

The state govt’s earlier “Vidhva Sahay Yojna” was renamed as “Ganga Swarupa Yojna” to lend respectability to the beneficiaries. The Gujarat govt. had raised the monthly pension amount from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,250 since April 2019. The Ganga Swarupa Yojana will ensure the amount deposited in the 1st week of every month.

Gujarat state govt. had also more than doubled their annual income eligibility criteria from Rs. 47,000 to Rs. 1,20,000 for women residing in rural areas. Moreover, the govt. has even more than doubled from Rs. 68,000 to Rs. 1,50,000 in urban areas. This resulted in increase in number of beneficiaries from 1.64 lakh to 3.70 lakh.

The state govt. of Gujarat has also relaxed financial assistance scheme by continuing scheme for women even after their son attain age of 21 years. Know About FASTags

FASTags are prepaid rechargeable tags for toll collection that allow automatic payment deduction from the FASTag. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has started the UP Online Property Registration facility at the official igrsup.gov.in portal of Department of Stamps and Registration. This facility will help the citizens to get their property registry in a simplified manner. Accordingly, the requirement of any third party for property registration will get eliminated which will result in transparency and minimizing corruption. Candidates can make online property registration through the official website igrsup.gov.in

This online registration facility will surely save time and also minimize the need for photocopy of various documents. Moreover, govt. will soon extend this service all over the state for farmers in which they can make registration of their agricultural land and properties.

STEP 7: Henceforth after completing the online application process (with payment), candidates will get an appointment date as date of registry. All the details will be sent through SMS on the registered mobile number. Furthermore, candidates need to be present at the sub-registrar office on the appointment date.

Finally, buyer will receive unique code to purchase online stamp which a candidate must submit in the concerned sub-registrar office to get property registry.

  • Extension – The state govt. is going to extend this scheme to other cities as well. For this purpose, UP govt. is taking several measures as follows:-
    • Revenue Department, UP is giving training to the officials to make them understand the process of online property registration and to handle queries which are related to e-registration.
    • Moreover, the state government has started pilot projects in 11 districts.

The concerned registrar office will fix a date for the purpose of documents registration. Furthermore, candidates will get another date to execute the sale process.

Jharkhand Sona Sobran Dhoti Saree Scheme 2020 – One Sari & One Lungi to 57.10 Lakh BPL Families

Jharkhand government is going to start Sona Sobran Dhoti Saree Scheme 2020 and state cabinet has approved this proposal on 16 October. In the Jharkhand Sona Sobran Dhoti Saree Scheme, govt. will provide one saree and one lungi or dhoti to 57.10 lakh BPL families. These clothes would be given twice a year to below poverty line (BPL) families at a subsidized price of Rs. 10 a piece.

The Jharkhand Sona Sobran Dhoti Saree Scheme was first introduced by the former UPA government under leadership of CM Hemant Soren in 2014. It was later discontinued by the Raghubar Das led NDA government in the year 2015. Now the Jharkhand cabinet committee has approved the proposal for implementation of One Saree and One Dhoti Scheme.

Sona Sobran Dhoti Saree Scheme Highlights

Jharkhand State Food Security Scheme Implementation Deferred

While the Jharkhand govt. rolls out a new Sona Sobran Dhoti Sari Yojana, the 10-member cabinet also deferred the implementation of Jharkhand State Food Security Scheme. Not the state govt’s Khadya Suraksha Yojana will start from 1 January 2020 citing technical reasons for the delay. In the SFSS Scheme, govt. promises to provide 5kg subsidized food grain to 15 lakh additional households each month. It was earlier scheduled to be rolled out on 15 November 2020 (Statehood Day).

The cabinet also approved the proposal of state agriculture, animal husbandry and dairy development to ink MoU between the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and Jharkhand State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation. This MoU will be signed for renewing technical and logistic partnership till 2024. NDDB is already building three dairy units in Sarath, Palamu and Sahibganj. Once operational, the plants will augment Jharkhand’s milk collection and processing capacity by another 1.5 lakh litre.

Telangana government led by CM K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) has issued new Sada Bainama Registration Guidelines. These latest guidelines are for submission of applications and regularisation of sadabainama category of agricultural lands located in rural areas. Earlier, the state govt. had even started the Layout Regularisation Scheme in Telangana and is inviting LRS Scheme application form at lrs.telangana.gov.in official website.

As the state govt. of Telangana has released the New Sada Bainama Registration guidelines, regularisation of agricultural land in rural areas becomes easy. It is important to note that this scheme is not applicable for agricultural land transactions using sadabainama in Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, Kakatiya Urban Development Authority, municipal corporations and municipalities except for specified notified mandals.

Telangana Sada Bainama Application Form

The latest Sada Bainama registration guidelines issued on 18 October 2020 stipulate that all the sadabainama applications for regularisation should be submitted through Mee Seva centres only in the prescribed format. These guidelines are in addition to the government orders issued on 12 October 2020 which gave authority to all the District Collectors to accept Form-X claims upto 31 October 2020 for regularization of sada bainama as a last opportunity and issue of pattadar passbooks.

The district collectors have been directed to follow the instructions scrupulously to complete the process receipt of applications smoothly. Further operational guidelines for processing of applications will be issued soon.
